Greenhouse at CHS

Carolina High School is expected to have its very own greenhouse soon! The project was started by Mrs. Dickerson's and Ms. Harton's students who had to present the idea for the project, including the cost and structure, to Mr. Delaney. The students even visted Mill Village Farms and Hillcrest High School's greenhouses to get some ideas.

As far as the construction goes, the students asked Mr. Roberson, who teaches engineering, to help them out. Since the senior class is already required to turn in a "senior project" in order to graduate from the course, a group of engineering students decided to go ahead and make it their senior project. Once the construction is complete in April (if all goes well), the engineering students will then find innovative ways to improve it, such as irrigation.

The project is currently being financed out of Ms. Harton's own pocket and the money our school gets for low income.
