The 88th annual Oscars were introduced with the host, Chris Rock, who's monologue focused on the controversies that surrounded the academy awards. He talked about the racism that exisit in Hollywood and how he was being pressured into quitting his hosting job due to the fact there were no black nominees. He even took a swing at Jada Pinkett Smith who was boycotting the awards.
Later in the show Chris Rock brought out his daughters and asked Hollywood's biggest stars to buy girlscout cookies from them.
Another thing that was popular was that Hollywood's very own Leonardo DeCaprio finally won his first Oscar! The internet meme is no more.
