Friday, February 26th, was Carolina High School’s Annual Job/Career Day. This year it was held in the gymnasium and the Career Participants had tables for the students to come and talk to them on an individual basis or as a group. There were businesses from BMW, who brought cars for students to sit in and look under the hood, to Pharmacists who talked about a career in the medical field. QT and Grove Medical were actually there to interview and hire! (QT was giving out coupons for free drinks, too) General Electric had a representative who spoke to students about the company and how energy efficiency is an up and coming career path; Reliable Homes was present to talk about a future in inspections and consulting; Greenville Tech had reps who spoke to students about a career in the Culinary Arts! All in all, this was such a successful day for the businesses, as well as the students who walked away with many ideas available for their life ahead.
Thanks to the CHS Guidance Dept., Mr. Oscar Neely (JAG coordinator, Marjon Ford (Admin), Wanda Littlejohn (Admin) and the rest of the administration, faculty and staff for this awesome opportunity for our students!!!
