GOP Debate Coming to Greenville

Last year the South Carolina Republican Party announced that our city will be hosting a primary Republican debate in 2016.

As of now the debate is scheduled for February 13th at the Peace Center. It will be broadcasted through NBC news.

The South Carolina Republican Party released this statement:

"We are excited to partner with the Republican National Committee and CBS to host a presidential debate just seven days before the South Carolina primary. The economic impact on Greenville and the Upstate will be huge. And as we saw last week, the Republican Party has the largest and most diverse field in its history. The debates will only become more important in deciding our party's nominee.”

South Carolina will have their republican primary election on Feburary 20th.
